But I can’t say yes, not until I get things sorted. “On the wanting alone, yes I would want to have sex with you again. But…” JJ sees Lucy’s face hidden by her hands, but he still looks away and bites his lip. “But what, would this be another one-off or a repeating occurrence? And if it is reoccurring, would this be something you’d expect monogamy from me? Because right now, I have shit to sort out. My romantic and sexual life is more tied up than a Gorgon’s knot. There are things you need to know about me before I would ever feel comfortable dragging you back into the fray. So I’m not saying no, I’m just hoping you’ll let me get back to you on that. But remember, the wanting is definitely there.”

Sketch wanted to die, he was taking pity on her. Taking a deep breath she stood up. “Shit, Is that the time?” She groaned, there wasn’t a clock in the room, what the fuck. “I should leave, you know, got people wanting to hang out and all that.” If Sketch could have just disintegrated right there she would have. “Ugh, but yeah, um, see you around, for the like, yeah, magic.” She left as soon as she could. She only stopped to stare at herself in a passing mirror. She even looked like she should be pitied. What the fuck was going on in her head?

JJ is extremely confused on what he said to upset Lucy. She leaves the room and only stops short of the front door when she gazes at herself in a mirror. JJ catches up to her, hoping he can diffuse the awkward situation. “Lucy, I’m sorry. Whatever I stupidly said, I’m sorry. I just didn’t want to get you neck deep in my shit. I care about you too much for that. I just need to tie up some loose ends. But you’ll definitely be the first I call when I get myself sorted.” Was that what she needed to hear? Or did I insult her some other way? Why must I be so fucking spastic with people?
